Job summary

SRC Inc. seeks Engineering Interns for spring 2027, onsite in Syracuse, NY, 40 hours per week. Interns will contribute to design, development, implementation and testing of radar and electronic warfare products, with specializations in Embedded Design, Software, Machine Intelligence, or Integration & Test.

You’ll work with senior engineers, gain hands-on experience, and collaborate across multi-department teams to deliver solutions aligned with project goals.

Qualifications

• Completion of two years of college and current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• GPA of 3.3 or higher; most recent transcripts required (unofficial transcripts acceptable).
• Solid understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Knowledge of design, testing, and debugging techniques.
• Ability to take initiative and proactively address challenges.
• Familiarity with applicable tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, test and optimize firmware for radar and electronic warfare products.
• Work with FPGAs and SoCs to develop EW and radar systems.
• Learn RTL design, verification, logic synthesis, prototyping, and timing analysis.
• Use Python, TCL and other scripting languages to automate CI/CD workflows.
• Design and develop high-quality software solutions using an Agile workflow.
• Collaborate with multi-department engineering teams to communicate solutions.
• Develop software engineering principles using Git, Bamboo, SonarQube.
• Adapt to new technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Rust as needed.
• Participate in design reviews to ensure testability and quality.
• Coordinate integration of subsystems for full systems.
• Develop, execute and troubleshoot test plans and procedures.
