Job summary

Metromont LLC is seeking an Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience in precast concrete manufacturing and structural design. You will work with plant experts and seasoned engineers to apply academic knowledge to real-world projects, supporting design and analysis with industry-standard software.

The role targets students pursuing Civil or Structural Engineering degrees, with preferred skills in AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D modeling.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other engineering software (preferred).
• Experience with 3D modeling software (preferred).
• Knowledge of building codes and construction practices (preferred).
• Prior internship or co‑op experience in a related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to plant operations across departments (Steel Fab, Material Handling, Quality Control, Carpentry Shop, Batch Plant, Dry/Wet Finishing).
• Participate in project site visits to understand erection processes.
• Assist in structural design and analysis with engineers using industry-standard software; review drawings.
• Complete a mock design project.
• Adhere to Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
