Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking Engineering Interns in Charlotte, NC. Interns perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques, assist lead engineers, and support design updates across market segments.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a related post-secondary program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
• Active involvement in campus or community activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated with eagerness to grow in the field.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time without future visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks applying standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Assist lead engineers with project duties and design updates.
• Participate in market-specific assignments within Transmission & Distribution.
