Job summary

Nebraska Public Power District is offering an Engineering Intern position at Sheldon Station near Hallam, Nebraska for Summer 2027. Two interns will assist Engineering staff across Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, and Structural disciplines, with duties including field data collection and drawing revisions.

The internship spans May 2027 to August 2027, aligning with the academic calendar. As part of the Engineering Department, you will support operations, maintenance, and reliability initiatives.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college/university.

Responsibilities

• Assist Plant Engineers with equipment troubleshooting.
• Obtain field data and utilize drawings for revisions.
• Research equipment replacement and upgrade options.
• Assist with project field implementation and contractor oversight.
