Job summary

Global Power Components (GPC) is seeking Engineering Interns to support the growth of our Electrical Equipment Solutions business. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and manufacturing leaders on real-world projects involving product development, manufacturing processes, electrical equipment, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role is intended for students who want hands‑on engineering experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering projects related to product development, manufacturing, and operations.
• Create and update drawings, models, bills of material, and engineering documentation.
• Assist with prototype builds, testing, and product validation activities.
• Support manufacturing process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collect, organize, and analyze engineering and production data.
• Participate in problem-solving activities related to quality, productivity, cost, and delivery.
• Develop reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and operations teams.
• Assist with implementation of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Support special projects as assigned.
