Job summary

HMH is seeking an Engineering Intern to join the Engineering Technical Services team in Houston, TX for a 12-week program (May 24 – August 13, 2027). You will support FEA activities using Ansys, assist with material property assignments, solver execution, and evaluate analysis results under an engineer's guidance.

You will analyze engineering data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement, learn AI-enabled tools to automate repetitive tasks, and gain hands-on experience

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Mechanical/Computational Engineering.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Familiarity with Ansys or other FEA software preferred.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support FEA activities using Ansys under supervision.
  • Assist with material property assignments, solver execution, and evaluation of results.
  • Analyze engineering data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Evaluate and apply AI-enabled tools to automate repetitive tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
