Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission, LLC is seeking an entry-level engineering trainee to learn and contribute across rotations in our Ohio facility.

You will create components and assemblies using SolidEdge, draft engineering drawings and manufacturing plans, and help design simple tooling and fixtures. The role emphasizes learning, documentation, and collaboration with engineers across projects, with opportunities to contribute improvements and participate in tests and data reporting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of basic computer skills and MS Office.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good mathematical skills; able to reason and calculate distances and equations.
• Ability to input to and retrieve from computer-based software programs.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and measure with calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Programming ability in Visual Basic or MS VBA (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Learn basic engineering concepts and build experience for rotations.
• Create components and assemblies using SolidEdge.
• Create and revise engineering drawings, manufacturing plans, and related documentation.
• Design, procure, and fabricate simple tooling and fixtures.
• Coordinate engineering tests and report results to the audience.
• Complete basic engineering documentation.
• Identify improvement opportunities and submit ideas.
• Support additional tasks as assigned.
