Job summary

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive is seeking an entry-level engineer to participate in rotations focused on learning basic engineering concepts and contributing to process improvements.

You will create components and assemblies using SolidEdge, read engineering drawings, and prepare manufacturing plans and documentation. The role involves designing simple tooling, coordinating tests, and documenting results for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good mathematical skills; able to reason and calculate distances and equations.
• Ability to accurately input to and retrieve from computer-based software programs.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and measure with calipers and micrometers.
• Programming ability in Visual Basic or MS VBA (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand basic concepts of engineering class chain to build experience for rotations.
• Create components and assemblies using 3-D modeling programs (e.g., SolidEdge).
• Create and revise engineering drawings, manufacturing plans and product documentation.
• Design, procure, and fabricate simple tooling and fixtures.
• Design and coordinate engineering tests and experiments and report results clearly.
• Complete basic tasks on engineering documentation.
• Identify areas for improvement and submit ideas.
