Job summary

Trane Technologies plc is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our manufacturing team for Summer 2025 (May–August). On-site work five days a week, with mentorship from experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering and quality systems.

You will collaborate with the Engineering Team and Quality Technicians, contribute to AI/automation for SPC controls, and participate in 9-step problem solving with regular leadership updates.

Where is the work: On-Site (5 days) Duration: Summer 2025 (May - August)

About the Role:

As an Engineering Intern in our manufacturing environment, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience by collaborating with our Engineering Team and Quality Technicians on different projects and daily activities. This role is designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how we drive efficiency and excellence in our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on creation of AI agents or other automation for SPC controls
• Work in our MES system to drive quality control integration
• Support Data collection for RIEs
• Work on 9 step problem solving teams
• Weekly report outs to leadership team members

Qualifications:

• Recent graduate or currently enrolled as a sophomore, junior or senior in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Engineering.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges.
