Job summary

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an intern to provide technical support, develop knowledge in SEL processes, and perform testing on new and existing technology.

Qualifications

  • Experience with programming and scripting for technical tasks.
  • Practical knowledge of 3-phase power systems required.
  • Familiarity with emulators and logic analyzers.
  • Ability to use Windows OS and serial port tools.
  • Knowledge of SEL protective relays and automation controllers.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Visio for diagrams.
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
  • Ability to learn new skills and take on responsibilities.
  • Ability to operate well in a team environment.
  • Background check and negative drug screening required.
