Internships take place at various locations throughout the United States, during a 10-12-week period.

The Engineering Intern in Cresco, IA would perform a role similar to that of a manufacturing or operational engineer, assisting site leadership and engineering with project work and analysis.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assists with engineering projects through all phases.
• Investigate improvements for current production methods, standards, tooling, procedures, equipment, and plant layout as a basis for improving safety and quality, increasing production, and reducing cost.
• Contributes to cost reduction and quality improvement projects.

• Learning and utilizing bottleneck analysis (BNA) to determine potential equipment efficiency improvements and associated cost reductions.
• Analyzing production departments for downtime. Planning and execution of projects stemming from this analysis.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled undergraduate in an accredited degree program pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Experience in Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to effectively communicate with employees, customers, and vendors with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
• Ability to numerically analyze data/apply statistics to support hypotheses or analyze results of studies.
• Strong prioritization and problem-solving abilities.
• Applied hands-on experience with engineering practices, processes and protocols.
• Minimum 3.0 out of a 4.0 cumulative GPA.
