Engineering - Inspector - Quality Control (Entry Level)
Duration: 6 months
Job Location: 100% onsite at Chaska, MN 55318
Shift: 1st Shift, 8 hours, Monday-Friday. Start time typically between 6 and 8 AM, negotiable.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Very detail-oriented with knowledge/experience using a variety of measurement tools.
- Experience working in a regulated industry.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with at least 3 years of inspection/test related experience or training.
- Experience inspecting parts, assemblies, and subassemblies to drawings and prints.
- Knowledge of dimensional testing, manufacturing, and quality control procedures.
- Experience in the power industry is required.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical support by reviewing, inspecting, and conducting nondestructive testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform and coordinate nondestructive testing, inspect components and documentation, identify quality issues, and recommend solutions.
- Gather data on equipment/system conditions, maintain records, and write reports.
- Develop and nurture relationships with technical counterparts, trade allies, and customers.
- Initiate non-conformance reports for parts and assemblies not meeting specifications.
- Ensure manufactured units meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications, and customer requirements.
- Initiate corrective actions for recurring quality issues.
- Perform specialized testing as required.
- Travel to facilities as needed.
