Position Overview

The Quality Inspector is responsible for executing quality plans, sampling plans, and control plans for incoming, in-process, and final inspection requirements. This includes indicating inspection status, maintaining product traceability and nonconforming material control, and supporting other Quality System activities. When required, the inspector will initiate material holds, nonconformance investigations, and execute approved material dispositions.

Responsibilities
  • Identify quality and compliance issues related to product, processes, and records; escalate issues and identify affected items.
  • Collaborate with Quality Engineering to initiate holds and nonconformance records.
  • Perform receiving inspection, in-process, and lot acceptance activities as per Quality System procedures.
  • Follow dispatch reports or inspection priority lists to meet rate and throughput expectations.
  • Verify that materials, components, and products meet quality specifications visually and dimensionally.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections and nonconformance issues.
  • Perform activities related to incoming receiving, in-process, or lot acceptance as demonstrated by experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in quality inspection; 2+ years preferred, especially in Medical Device or Component manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of basic Quality Systems and inspection standards.
  • Proficiency in English reading, writing, and following work instructions.
  • Computer skills and ability to use hand tools.
  • Good manual dexterity and visual acuity with high attention to detail.
