Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker Inc. in Towson, MD is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition—Engineering to lead strategy, execution, and growth of recruiting for firmware, embedded systems, infrastructure, and engineering leadership across the organization.

You will build and manage a high-performing team of recruiters, partner with engineering leadership, HR, and Total Rewards, and design scalable hiring playbooks to meet aggressive business goals while maintaining talent quality and diversity.

Qualifications

• 8-10+ years of full-cycle technical/engineering recruiting experience, including 5+ years in a people-management role-leading recruiter within the manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record scaling engineering hiring in high-growth or fast-paced environments, including building out new teams from the ground up.
• Familiarity with AI-driven sourcing/recruiting tools and Workday for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters focused on engineering hiring.
• Own headcount planning, workload distribution, and capacity across the team.
• Build recruiter career pathing, onboarding, and ongoing skills development.
• Own engineering recruiting funnel metrics and reporting dashboards.
