Job summary

State of Alaska's Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, Central Region, is seeking an Engineering Geologist 1/2/3 Flex in Anchorage to support geotechnical design for highway and aviation projects.

You will prepare field exploration plans, lead drilling crews, and write geotechnical reports. In-office and field work with occasional travel by small aircraft is required; Alaska residency applies.

Qualifications

• Geology: foundations of earth's origins and structure; physical processes shaping earth.
• Soil Science: soil composition, formation, testing, and management.
• Geographical Sciences: location and distribution of land, sea, air masses.
• Accountability: objective setting, prioritization, and responsible action.
• Writing: clear, correct English in technical documents.

Responsibilities
