Job summary

BGC Engineering Inc. seeks a Senior Geological/Geotechnical Engineer for its Anchorage, AK office. You will lead mining and transportation projects, oversee budgets and schedules, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with a global team.

Ideal candidates have 10–20 years of experience, a geotechnical or civil engineering post-grad degree, and Alaska PE status or eligibility. Travel to remote sites and other offices is expected.

Qualifications

• 10–20 years in professional engineering/geoscience with consulting experience.
• Post-graduate degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• Alaska PE registration or eligible for PE in Alaska.
• Strong mining/transportation project background and leadership.
• Experience with cold regions engineering concepts and relevant software.

Responsibilities

• Act as project engineer and technical lead for mining/transportation projects.
• Manage proposals, budgets, schedules, staffing, and scope.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams including in remote environments.
• Travel as required and mentor junior staff on technical topics.
• Prepare reports and engage with clients and partners.
