Job summary

Volvo Group North America, LLC in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Business Controller to optimize engineering budgets, manage CAPEX, and ensure transparent cost calculations. You will model costs, oversee RIG expenditure and support budgeting with data-driven insights.

You will use Power BI, VBA and Python to drive big data analyses, financial modeling and decisions, collaborating with prototype fleets and global teams to improve processes and control costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a business controller in engineering prototyping and testing.
• Experience with SAP Master Finance and SCORE (Scheduling Cost and Resource).
• Programming in Power BI, VBA, and Python for data management and modeling.

Responsibilities

• Optimize engineering budgets, cost categories and CAPEX planning.
• Prepare capitalization requests with approval, follow-up and quality checks.
• Ensure transparency of RIG cost calculations and cost allocation.
• Develop hourly rate models, chargeability and project maintenance hours.
• Drive forecasting, budgeting and portfolio financial reporting.
