Job summary

Bosch Charleston seeks a Capital & Inventory Controller to oversee inventory valuation, capital assets, and IFRS-compliant reporting for the VM division. You'll partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to provide financial insight and strengthen internal controls.

Responsibilities include end-to-end CAPEX controlling, asset capitalization, month-end close, variance analysis, and driving continuous improvements in planning and reporting, while supporting audits and governance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field required.
• MBA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification a plus.
• 2+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing finance, controlling, FP&A, or accounting.
• Experience with capital expenditure management and inventory accounting within manufacturing.
• Experience working with ERP and reporting systems such as SAP, Hyperion Essbase.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end CAPEX controlling for the division, ensuring effective financial planning, monitoring, reporting, and governance of capital investments.
• Manage the accounting and financial reporting of capital assets, including project capitalization, asset-in-service tracking, fixed asset records, month-end close activities, and IFRS compliance.
• Monitor capital project performance against approved authorizations, budgets, and forecasts; analyze variances, risks and opportunities; provide recommendations to management.
• Develop capital expenditure forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range investment plans for divisional objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement in capital planning, reporting, and internal control processes; support audits and governance standards.
• Lead all inventory controlling activities for the VM division, ensuring accurate valuation and financial reporting; manage inventory accounting and month-end close processes.
• Monitor inventory performance and analyze variances affecting cash flow, balance sheet, and asset utilization; recommend actions.
• Partner with Supply Chain and Operations to improve inventory accuracy and support planning decisions.
• Support physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory audits while maintaining internal controls.
• Drive improvements in inventory processes, reporting accuracy, and cost performance.
