Job summary

UC Irvine is seeking a Facilities Coordinator for the Henry Samueli School of Engineering to oversee facilities operations and coordinate with campus services. The role requires strong maintenance knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects while supporting space management and equipment installation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience/training.
• 1–3 years of experience in facilities operations and management.
• Working knowledge of facility maintenance practices.
• Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plan sets.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint; familiarity with AutoCAD or Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities operations for School spaces and occupants.
• Liaise with Facilities Management, EHS, Transportation, Distribution and campus departments.
• Assist in construction, deliveries, security systems, key/lock management, and safety infrastructure support.
• Maintain safety and emergency preparedness procedures.
• Assist with space management, moving coordination, custodial/grounds issues, and equipment installation.
