Neogen is offering an Engineering Equipment & Metrology Internship in Lexington, KY. This onsite program provides hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, equipment troubleshooting, metrology, calibration, and continuous improvement while working with our experienced Engineering team.

You will help rehabilitate equipment, support new technology, improve metrology and calibration processes, and contribute to shop-floor organization and asset management.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial engineering or related field.
• Relevant coursework in machine design, manufacturing processes, instrumentation, controls, statistics or project management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bring Equipment Back to Peak Performance: assist with rehabilitation and readiness of CS01 machine, troubleshooting, assessments, and testing.
• Gain Hands-On Equipment Testing Experience: develop and execute testing protocols, document results, and maintain technical records for CS01.
• Support New Manufacturing Technology: collaborate on MFT machine observations, testing, issue tracking, and documentation.
• Drive Shop-Floor Improvements: apply 5S principles to improve organization, efficiency, safety and standardization.
• Explore Metrology & Calibration: review asset information and support improvements to metrology and calibration processes.
• Strengthen Asset Management: review and improve ACE asset records for better documentation and tracking.
