Job summary

Somafina in Lindon, UT is seeking an Associate Production Manager to oversee third shift operations (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) and grow into senior production leadership. The role reports to the Plant Manager with a dotted-line to the VP & General Manager and emphasizes strong judgment, analytical ability, and drive over industry-specific experience.

Ideal candidates have an engineering background and early‑career leadership potential.

Qualifications

Engineering degree preferred or related technical/analytical degree.
Early career with strong problem solving, learning agility and initiative.
English proficiency required.

Responsibilities

Owns Lindon third shift operations, providing hands-on leadership to drive continuous improvement.
Collaborates with Plant Manager and dotted-line with VP & General Manager to resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
Diagnoses root causes with data-driven solutions on the production floor.
Develops knowledge of Somafina's processes, equipment, and systems.
Coaches and develops production staff toward leadership roles.
Supports planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet targets and commitments.
Monitors production metrics (throughput, quality, downtime, efficiency) and identifies improvement opportunities.
Ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across activities.
