Job summary

Somafina is seeking an Associate Production Manager for its Lindon, Utah facility, covering third shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM). The role emphasizes ownership, leadership, and rapid growth into senior production leadership, reporting to the Plant Manager with a dotted line to the VP & General Manager.

The ideal candidate has an engineering background, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree strongly preferred; other technical or analytical degrees will be considered.
• Early career professionals with strong problem-solving, learning agility, and initiative essential.
• Experience in gummy, nutraceutical, or consumer goods manufacturing is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Owns and oversees Lindon production operations on third shift (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM), driving continuous improvement.
• Partner with the Plant Manager and dotted-line with VP & General Manager to resolve bottlenecks and quality issues.
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose root causes and implement data-driven solutions on the floor.
• Develop deep working knowledge of Somafina's processes, equipment, and systems.
• Coach and develop production staff, building leadership and people-management foundations.
• Support planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet targets and commitments.
• Monitor and report production metrics (throughput, quality, downtime, efficiency) and identify improvements.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across activities.
