Job summary

347 Group, Inc. seeks a Substation Drafter to support the design of substation engineering projects. The role involves creating electrical drawings for facilities, including lighting, power, communications, security, and fire detection, in compliance with NEC.

You will develop entry-level drawings using CAD software under supervision, and contribute to design developments and construction documents. A background in electrical facilities and familiarity with AutoCAD/MicroStation is expected, with

• 2-5 years of professional experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil facilities.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Database/Document Management familiarity.

Job DescriptionJob Description

The Substation Drafter supports the design of substation engineering projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create electrical drawings for facilities, such as lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection in compliance with the Electrical Code (NEC)
• Develop entry-level drawings by using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of other Electrical Technicians or Engineers
• Demonstrate knowledge of procedures for production of design developments and construction documents, and a thorough knowledge of engineering planning, drafting, and detailing
• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering Degree
• Strong computer skills Microsoft Office, AutoCAD
• Database/Document Management familiarity
