Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in Costa Mesa, CA seeks an Electrical Engineer/Drafter to create electrical drawings for facilities (lighting, power, communications, security, fire detection) in NEC compliance.

You will develop entry-level drawings under supervision, apply design development procedures and drafting standards. A Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering is required; AutoCAD and MicroStation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• 3+ years of professional experience with AutoCAD including electrical design
• Active participation in an employee-owned culture is required

Primary Responsibilities

• Create electrical drawings for facilities, such as lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection in compliance with the Electrical Code (NEC)
• Develop entry-level drawings by using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of other Electrical Technicians or Engineers
• Demonstrate knowledge of procedures for production of design developments and construction documents, and a thorough knowledge of engineering planning, drafting, and detailing
• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• 3 years plus of professional experience with AutoCAD including electrical design
