Job summary

The Substation Drafter at 347 Group, Inc. supports the design of substation engineering projects by creating electrical drawings for facilities that comply with the National Electrical Code (NEC), including lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection.

The Substation Drafter supports the design of substation engineering projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create electrical drawings for facilities, such as lighting systems, power systems, communications, security, and fire detection in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Develop entry-level drawings by using computer-aided design software under the direct supervision of other Electrical Technicians or Engineers
• Demonstrate knowledge of procedures for production of design developments and construction documents, and a thorough knowledge of engineering planning, drafting, and detailing
• Perform other duties as needed

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience with AutoCAD
• Experience in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil facilities
