Job summary

STV, Inc. seeks an Engineering Director in Owensboro, KY to lead a Transportation & Infrastructure practice, mentor staff, and drive client development. The role partners with senior management to deliver complex projects for Kentucky clients and statewide initiatives.

The candidate will manage multi‑discipline teams, set budgets, and coordinate with other leaders to maintain high technical standards while expanding the Kentucky practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Planning; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of Transportation and Infrastructure experience.
• Kentucky Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Direct experience delivering transportation projects.
• Leadership for multi-discipline project teams.
• Experience with Kentucky agencies (e.g., KYTC).
• Strong business development and client relationship skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop professional staff; lead by example.
• Lead business development and proposal efforts for Transportation and Infrastructure projects.
• Manage multi-discipline teams to deliver projects to clients.
• Negotiate budgets, staffing, and project coordination for delivery.
• Coordinate with directors to maintain technical standards across projects.
• Grow the Transportation and Infrastructure practice in Kentucky.
