Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; MBA or an advanced technical degree preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive engineering experience
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a technically complex environment
• Proven track record managing product development from concept to production
• Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments
• Strong knowledge of structured product development methodologies and best practices
• Experience building teams, processes and ways of working
• Design for manufacturing understanding and cost/quality considerations
• Ability to balance technical and organizational priorities
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder credibility
• Proactive, accountable leadership across an organization

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team for product development and technical initiatives
• Set priorities and align engineering activities with company objectives
• Guide programs from concept through validation, production readiness and launch
• Develop engineering capabilities, resources and talent
• Recruit, develop and retain engineering professionals in a collaborative team
• Improve engineering processes, standards and development practices
• Balance designs with manufacturing, cost, quality and scalability
• Assess programs and allocate priorities and timelines
• Collaborate across manufacturing, operations, supply chain and quality
• Provide updates and recommendations to senior leadership
• Build relationships across technical and non-technical functions
• Support introduction of new and improved products into production
• Identify opportunities for consistency and continuous improvement
• Set clear expectations and foster accountability and ownership
• Travel periodically to other locations as required
