Job summary

Jobot is seeking an executive-level engineering manager in New England to drive business development across commercial, healthcare, and higher education sectors. The role includes managing day-to-day operations and positioning for potential ownership.

The candidate will lead multi-disciplinary teams, ensure design excellence, and coordinate with discipline leads for project delivery. The position offers a competitive salary ($160,000–$200,000), strong health benefits, a 401(k), and opportunities

Qualifications

• 7+ years leading multi-disciplinary design teams (Healthcare/Higher Education preferred)
• 15+ years in design and construction document production (Healthcare/Higher Education preferred)
• Experience as Engineer of Record
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Engineering degree from ABET-accredited program; PE licensure required

Responsibilities

• Actively engage in milestone and final reviews of design deliverables to ensure top-tier quality
• Collaborate with Discipline Leads and Project Managers to review drawings and specs
• Identify and resolve errors or omissions in drawings to uphold excellence
• Drive continuous improvement: capture lessons learned from each project
• Develop and implement action plans to enhance future project performance
• Oversee daily workload prioritization and resource allocation across projects
• Forecast resource needs and manage recruitment or temporary staffing as needed
• Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to optimize resource utilization and production quality
• Monitor weekly labor utilization to maximize productivity and project efficiency
