Job summary

The University of Maryland, College Park is hiring an Assistant Director of Development for Corporate & Foundation Relations in the A. James Clark School of Engineering.

You will cultivate and solicit corporate and foundation partnerships and work across eight engineering departments to advance school priorities. You will partner with department chairs and school leadership, develop a donor pipeline, and support student programs and events like the Capstone Design Expo.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university.
• Three years of professional development, fundraising or external relations experience.
• The position may or may not involve supervisory responsibilities.
• Knowledge of advancement, donor, or alumni relations policies and related laws.
• Skill in problem solving and strategic planning.
• Skill in oral and written communication.
• Skill in the use of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
• Ability to develop and administer new policies and procedures.
• Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
• Ability to interact with donors and senior-level executives and administrators required.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and strong adherence to deadlines required.

Responsibilities
