Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated seeks a Manager, Engineering to lead project management and technical resource teams within the Engineering department. You will guide the execution of engineering projects, manage resources, budgets, and timelines, and deliver high-quality engineering solutions for customers and manufacturing processes.

You will mentor direct reports, drive continuous improvement, promote cross-functional collaboration, and champion standardization and QMS compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business or PM related field or equivalent experience.
• Five (5) or more years in engineering or project management with increasing responsibility and leadership.
• Proven leadership driving strategic goals and initiatives through effective team management, collaboration, and accountability for results.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization, mentor and develop employees, and influence cross‑functional teams to achieve shared objectives.
• Strong people leadership skills, including performance management, coaching, training, and career development.
• Ability to balance competing priorities, optimize resources, and make strategic decisions that support business objectives and operational demands.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis and improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with customers, suppliers, and cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Preferred: Technical knowledge of Panel and Equipment Enclosure Engineering and related manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to project management and technical teams, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and annual goals.
• Oversee planning and execution of projects, including resource, budget, and timeline management.
• Develop, track, and analyze department metrics to drive quality, on-time delivery, productivity, and profitability.
• Lead operational reviews and promote cross-functional collaboration for effective project execution and continuous improvement.
• Drive standardized processes, training, and documentation to support workload demands and growth.
• Support customer interactions, including meetings and site visits, to ensure satisfaction and engagement.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and improvement events.
