Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is offering an Engineering Co-op Program at its Birmingham, Alabama site for a 15-week period beginning in May 2027. Co-ops will assist the site Engineering Managers with day-to-day tasks and special projects, contributing to department goals.

Applicants must be enrolled in an engineering degree and meet basic work eligibility requirements. Preferred candidates have 1+ year of Microsoft Office experience, leadership exposure, and are pursuing EE, ME, or Chem Eng.

Qualifications

• Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Currently enrolled in a college or university during the Co-op.
• Currently pursuing an Engineering Degree with sophomore standing or higher.
• Preferred: at least 1 year of experience using Microsoft Office.
• Preferred: pursuing Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
• Preferred: prior team leadership or supervisory experience.
• Preferred: prior Co-op/internship in a supply chain or engineering function.
• Willingness to relocate for future opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Assist site Engineering Managers with day-to-day tasks and special projects.
• Develop drawings and specifications for equipment layout.
• Investigate new plant engineering processes and techniques.
• Support equipment analysis and installations.
• Present final rotation summary to leadership at end of program.
