Job summary

RoviSys is seeking a Co-op student in Illinois to contribute to automation and information solutions on real client projects. You will work under engineers and develop automation and control systems, linking equipment and sensors, while growing through guided responsibilities.

As a college student, you will travel to client sites for planning and testing, gain hands-on experience with systems from DCS/PLCs to databases and reporting, and advance toward leading a small team later in the program.

Qualifications

• Full-time student status.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Enrollment in a Bachelor's program in a technical field related to engineering or control systems.
• Passionate about problem solving and developing solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation systems.
• Design and develop electrical control systems interfacing with process lines, equipment and sensors.
• Architect solutions from database to AI to user interface tools.
• Provide clients with real-time, actionable process reports.
• Develop quality code adhering to standards.
• Collaborate in a team with engineers and designers from RoviSys, partners and clients.
• Travel to customer sites for planning meetings, commissioning and testing.
• Grow into leading a team of engineers and technicians to provide automation and information solutions.
