Thompson Engineering is seeking an Engineering Associate to join our Gulf Coast offices. This role targets early-career engineers eager to develop technical expertise while collaborating with seasoned professionals on a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects.

The position supports planning, design, and delivery across site civil, transportation, water resources, H&H, coastal engineering, federal, municipal, and land development disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 0–4 years of engineering experience preferred.
• FE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with engineering analysis, calculations, design, and construction plans.
• Support design of transportation, site development, water resources, coastal, and municipal projects.
• Prepare engineering reports, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including survey, environmental, geotechnical, structural, and construction personnel.
• Participate in site visits, field investigations, and construction observations.
