Job summary

AB Facility Services in the Northeast seeks an Engineering Apprentice to learn building maintenance and engineering hands-on. You will work closely with experienced engineers, assist with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, and gain practical skills in maintaining complex facilities.

Ideal candidates are reliable, eager to learn, physically capable, and comfortable using hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, construction, mechanical, or trade experience is a plus but not required.
• Willingness to learn and develop hands-on skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Comfortable working with tools and performing physical tasks.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Trade school, vocational training, or apprenticeship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic building maintenance and engineering tasks.
• Learn and assist with basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Perform routine inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and basic repairs.
• Learn to safely use hand and power tools.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Support engineers and maintenance staff with daily tasks.
