Job summary

Mohegan Sun is seeking a skilled trades professional to assist in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of steam boilers, chillers, and related HVAC systems across the central plant and facility.

Responsibilities include timely repair and maintenance, preventive maintenance documentation, and performing other service work as directed. Training is provided to support trade license progression, with casino environment safety awareness emphasized.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in a licensed trade or two years schooling in appropriate field may be substituted for equivalent work experience requirements.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass both a verbal and technical proficiency test demonstrate skills necessary to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to read and work from blueprints.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the company provider.

Position Summary:

This position assists in the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of steam boilers, chillers, and ancillary equipment, piping and HVAC systems on the central plant and the entire facility.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

includes but not limited to:

• Ensures the timely repair and maintenance of all related systems
• Assists with preventive maintenance records for all records

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

Accomplishes other service work, as directed

Minimum Education and Qualifications:

• Two years of experience in a licensed trade or two years schooling in appropriate field may be substituted for equivalent work experience requirements

Competencies:

Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

• Good written and communication skills
• Has a firm knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety requirements of the trade
• Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and practices used in the trade
• Familiar with the running building management systems for HVAC and Stationary (CUP)

• OSHA Lockout/ Tag out procedures
• Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure training
• Respirator training and fit tested
• Man lifts training(scissor and boom lift)
• Forklift training
• Confined space training
• Fall protection

Mohegan Sun will be offering online training to work towards the completion of your trade license

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Must be able to work in a casino environment with possible exposure to secondhand smoke
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
