Job summary

Mohegan Sun is seeking an Upholstery Technician to repair and maintain all upholstered materials, furniture and finishes across the property.

The role requires a High School Diploma, four years of upholstery experience, and strong communication skills. You will log departmental records, support other trades, and keep the work area clean and safe while adapting to varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Four years of upholstery, repair and replacement experience required.
• In lieu of work experience, two years of education in this field may be substituted.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains all upholstered materials, furniture and finishes

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for all departmental logs, record keeping and labor recording pertinent to their day-to-day job duties
• Assists other trades on tasks, as needed
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment

Minimum Education and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Four years of upholstery, repair and replacement experience
• In lieu of previous work experience, two years of education in this field may be substituted

Competencies

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of the property layout including pits, sections and zones

Training Requirements

• Mandated safety classes
• Proper use of tools and equipment required to complete job duties

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Must be able to work in a smoking environment as well as various weather conditions including extreme hot and cold
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
