Job summary

Brightli in Missouri is seeking a Facilities Management Technician II to support maintenance across properties in Nixa. This full-time role requires on-call duties and a commitment to safety and quality service.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, prioritizing repairs, and collaborating with leadership to meet site needs. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or GED) and 4+ years in a maintenance-related field, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance related field preferred.

  • Functions in accordance with Operational Guidelines and within a professional code of ethics.
  • Participates in staff development activities of the System.
  • Is sensitive and responsible to management needs, such as data collection, program evaluation, development of grant applications, maintenance of contracts for service, etc.
  • Regularly participates in evaluations of self-according to Operational Guidelines.
  • Perform all work in a safe manner using required safety equipment and procedures.
  • Completes all work orders in a timely manner; monitor and maintain work order system.
  • Be alert for safety hazards at properties and report to leadership for corrective action.
  • Submit quotes or proposals to Facilities Leadership Team.
  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.
  • Awareness of applicable codes and regulations related to facility maintenance.
  • Available to be on-call, including flexible hours.

Facilities Management Technician II

Location: Nixa, MO
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday | On-Call as Needed

The Facilities Management Technician II will complete a wide variety of task to help maintain all properties and assets to the highest possible standards. Technician II’s must be focused on client and employee’s need for the greatest client experience and most effective result. Technician II’s must be able to work independently or within a team environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Functions in accordance with Operational Guidelines and within a professional code of ethics.

  • Participates in and contributes to the various staff developmental activities of the System.

  • Is sensitive and responsible to management needs, such as data collection, program evaluation, development of grant applications, maintenance of various contracts for service, etc.

  • Regularly participates in evaluations of self-according to Operational Guidelines.

  • Perform all work in a safe manner using any and all required safety equipment and by following all safety procedures.

  • Completes all work orders in a timely manner. Monitor and maintain work order system.

  • Be alert for any safety hazards at properties and report them to leadership for immediate corrective action.

  • Submit all credit card and fuel charges along with any quotes or proposals to the Facilities Leadership Team.

  • Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and prioritize repairs.

  • Awareness of all applicable codes and regulations related to facility maintenance.

  • Available to be on-call, work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to perform effectively in the face of changing job demands

  • Ability to take necessary and appropriate action on one’s own

  • Determined to be reliable, motivated, creative, with good customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently or within a large group.

  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, equipment, materials and supplies related to construction, operation, maintenance and repair of facilities and infrastructure, landscape areas, and vehicles.

  • Knowledge of safety practices and principles related to maintenance activities including any applicable laws or regulations.

  • Capable of effectively communication and interaction with coworkers, managers, subordinates and the general public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred;

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a maintenance related field preferred

Employment Requirements:

  • Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check.

  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.

Physical Requirements:

ADA Consideration - Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Repetitive movements of hands, fingers, and arms for typing and/or writing during work shift.

Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
