Job summary

Getz Fire Equipment Company seeks a self-motivated technician specializing in service and maintenance of engineered suppression systems. You'll install systems, troubleshoot, and work with low voltage electrical components across a wide range of facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
• Driver's license and clean driving record.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and climb ladders.
• Must comply with safety policies; safety sensitive position.
• Entry-level applicants welcome; NICET preferred but not required initially.
• Familiarity with power tools and general construction techniques; careful with electricity.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Good computer skills; organized, punctual, and professional.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, and maintenance of engineered suppression systems per NFPA standards.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair off-normal suppression system conditions.
• Repair or replace faulty suppression components and calibrate systems as needed.
• Adjust fire alarm system programming when requested; coordinate recharge and hydrotest of agents.
• Inspect Explosion Prevention Systems and address system issues; repair as required.
• Travel to customer sites; work across varied environments; maintain safety protocols.
