The Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources is a publicly owned utility, committed to providing excellent water, waste water and storm water services at the best possible value to the citizens of Gwinnett County. The department is widely recognized for service excellence in the operation of two water production facilities, three water reclamation facilities and over 200 pump stations. In addition, DWR maintains 3,667 miles of water lines, 2,654 miles of sewer lines and 1,325 miles of storm water pipe. This position is in the Water Reclamation section of the Technical Services Division and is primarily responsible for two key functions: advanced process engineering and operational support for water reclamation facilities, and the development, planning, prioritization, and coordination of Capital Improvement Program (CIP) projects. The position provides advanced technical expertise in support of water reclamation operations, long-range infrastructure planning, and other technical projects and initiatives within the Technical Services Division or Department as a whole. The ideal candidate will possess responsible experience in engineering, water reclamation, wastewater treatment processes, applied research and development, or related areas, including experience with complex technical projects and programs.
