Job summary

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. is seeking a full-time entry-level Civil Engineer to work in our Transportation unit in the United States. The role requires 0–2 years of experience and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.

The engineer will develop PS&E, create 3D models for construction, and collaborate on transportation projects for municipal, county, and state agencies. A valid driver's license and ability to undergo a background check are required.

Responsibilities

Job description

Horner & Shifrin is seeking a full-time Engineer to work in our Transportation business unit. This is an entry-level position and requires 0-2 years of experience.

Position Responsibilities/Duties

• Candidate will work under a licensed engineer
• Responsible for the development of engineering plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E)
• Prepare quality 3D models for design to be used by clients in the construction phase
• Work as part of a team to complete general transportation engineering services for municipal, county and state agencies
• Assist in the preparation of reports and feasibility studies
• Responsible for the completion of assigned tasks within a project

Position Requirements

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
• Knowledge of MicroStation and PowerGeoPAK SS4/OpenRoads Designer, or AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred)
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must complete a background check

Salary Range

Horner & Shifrin, Inc. offers a comprehensive total rewards package and is committed to fair, competitive, market-based compensation. The target salary range for this position is $65,000 - $91,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
