Job summary

Arenatechnologies is looking for an Engineer/Technical Analyst with extensive experience in Submarine Combat systems to support a PEO (SUB) Program Office. The role requires a candidate to provide engineering expertise to government Program Managers overseeing Undersea Acoustic Systems, Combat Submarines, Imaging Systems, or Training Systems.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience with Navy acquisition and at least 5 years working specifically on Submarine Combat Systems. An active Secret Security DoD clearance is a necessity.

The Undersea Technology Portfolio, within SPA's Sea, Land, & Air Division, conducts rigorous and objective analyses to enable the Navy and other DoD organizations to make decisions, plans, and strategies to deliver emerging technologies and warfighting capabilities. We support clients across the undersea, naval special warfare, and expeditionary warfare enterprises, including those within resourcing and requirements, acquisition, and science and technology.

SPA has a future need for an Engineer/Technical Analyst with Submarine Combat systems experience.

Responsibilities

Seeking multiple candidates with various levels of experience. The candidate will support a PEO (SUB) Program Office and act as an engineer. The candidate will provide engineering expertise to government Program or Project Managers who oversee Undersea Acoustic Systems, Combat Submarines, Imaging Systems, or Training Systems. The candidate will:

• Provide Undersea Weapon System engineering subject matter expertise to NAVSEA affiliated PEOs and program managers for selected appropriated programs.
• Assist in overseeing and executing research and technology initiatives and weapon system development.
• Assist government program managers in developing weapon system requirements and acquisition documentation and program actions.
• Support government program managers in developing, managing, and evaluating contractual documentation and deliverables from the prime system integrator in support of system design and development acquisition milestones.
• Provide engineering realism to the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) for undersea warfare systems. This includes assisting in developing fiscal estimates, exhibits, documents, briefs and schedules to satisfy the PPBE process.

• Ability to lead a project and interface with an end item customer
• Active Secret Security DoD clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (technical or managerial discipline)
• Experience with SWFTS, Cyber, Sub Combat Systems, Fire Control, BYG-1, Weapons Control highlydesired
• PMS 401, 425, 435 or IWS-5 experience highly desired
• Sub Electronic Warfare, BLQ-10, ICADF
• Relevant experience on Navy Sonar/radar, Combat System, Training System, Electronic Warfare or Imaging System, or on other Undersea Warfare programs
