Job summary

Lancer Worldwide is seeking an Engineer Tech 1 to assist in the design and development of our beverage dispensing products. The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, testing, and close collaboration with project teams to ensure prototypes meet requirements and are evaluated efficiently.

The ideal candidate has strong fabrication and manufacturing knowledge, familiarity with lean practices, and the ability to read drawings and operate measuring tools. A 1st shift and on-site work are expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of manufacturing practices and fabrication skills required.
• Minimum 3 years experience in manufacturing or laboratory environment.
• Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using measuring tools.

The Engineer Tech 1 supports the design and development of Lancer products with hands-on prototyping and testing . Th is role works closely with project teams to ensure prototype and evaluation work is effective and efficient .

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Familiarity with manufacturing practices
• Proficiency in one or more fabrication skills:
• Refrigeration – Certified Technician a plus
• Sheet Metal Forming (including w elding and grinding )
• Wood Fabrication
• Metal Machining / CNC
• 3D Printing / Additive manufacturing
• Electronic Controls / Automation / Instrumentation / Programming
• The ability to create simple block diagrams for mechanical and electrical applications
• The a b ility to read engineering drawings and use measuring tools
• The ability to operate a forklift and become certified is required , previous experience a plus
• The ability to self-manage is required :
• Organize time to best support multiple initiatives with quickly changing priority
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writin g
• Some 3D CAD modeling experience is a plus, SolidWorks preferred.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Best Practices (5S, TPM) is a plus
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a team environmen t

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent (2-Year Technical Degree preferred).
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing or lab o ratory environment .
