Job description

Responsibilities
  1. Assess current and future technology requirements to identify design and process improvement opportunities within Micron.
  2. Perform decision analysis and feasibility studies on proposed projects and tasks.
  3. Define design requirements considering end user needs, statutory requirements, and business needs.
  4. Assess workload and resources required, and work with a cross‑functional team to plan and execute project deliverables.
  5. Perform design and development work to meet project or task requirements.
  6. Help define manufacturing and engineering support solutions.
  7. Plan, build, and refine prototype designs including test and verification.
  8. Document and control designs.
  9. Support prototype qualification by the customer including deployment, design changes, and issue resolution.
  10. Manage engineering changes using version control processes and support released designs for issues or additional requests.
Position Requirements
  1. Develop and verify electronics for use in semiconductor test equipment.
  2. Design PCBs and electronic systems, overseeing board layout and artwork.
  3. Design digital circuits and logic such as FPGAs, communication buses like PCIe Express, and memory interfaces such as DDR.
  4. Conduct power supply subsystem design and analog circuit design.
  5. Perform signal and power integrity analysis and simulation using tools such as HyperLynx.
  6. Work with manufacturing and NPI teams to ensure compliance with DFM and DFT requirements.
  7. Debug and analyze electronics using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, probes, and logic analyzers.
  8. Design, develop, and build SSD test equipment.
  9. Perform design of experiments and write reports related to SSD test equipment based on PCIe protocols.
  10. Operate SSD test equipment, including debugging, assembly, and operation.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics design for semiconductor test equipment or a related occupation.
  • Experience designing PCBs, digital circuits, FPGAs, PCIe Express, and DDR memory interfaces.
  • Experience with power supply subsystem design and analog circuit design.
  • Signal and power integrity analysis and simulation experience using HyperLynx or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of DFM and DFT requirements and experience working with manufacturing and NPI teams.
  • Debugging skills with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, probes, and logic analyzers.
  • Experience designing, developing, and building SSD test equipment.
  • Ability to perform design of experiments and write reports for SSD test equipment based on PCIe protocols.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
  • Self‑motivated, detail oriented, and capable of managing engineering changes.
Compensation

US base salary range: $150,545.00 - $191,000.00.
