Job description

As a System Architect Engineer in the Systems Integration Group (SIG) of Micron Technology, you will define and lead all aspects of next‑generation solutions for semiconductor memory test equipment products, ensuring they align with business goals, meet performance needs, and scale optimally. You will collaborate across engineering teams and cultivate customer partnerships to drive innovative test infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Architect high‑performance semiconductor memory test equipment products, including developing requirements, performance models, and product specifications.
  • Define and evolve SIG’s test equipment strategy and roadmap, partnering with customers and internal teams to deliver efficient solutions for next‑generation memory products.
  • Drive development of scalable and secure test equipment, from high‑level strategy to component integration.
  • Collaborate multi‑functionally with mechanical, hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure end‑to‑end product quality, performance, and reliability.
  • Drive pathfinding initiatives for test equipment architectures incorporating future generations of SSD testing technologies.
  • Develop upgrades and modernization of existing infrastructure.
  • Mentor system architects and engineers who are developing their technical expertise within the team.
  • Represent SIG in technical discussions with customers and partners, influencing technical decisions and industry direction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field (BSEE or higher).
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical, electronics, and system‑level design.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture and interfaces, digital and analog circuit designs, and system integration.
  • Familiarity with the product life cycle of sophisticated test equipment, from conception to delivery on the customer floor.
  • Experience with high‑speed engineering, signal integrity, and industry‑standard tools (CAD, simulation).
  • Experience with lab equipment including power supplies, digital meters, oscilloscopes, and protocol analyzers.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field (MSEE or higher).
  • Knowledge of communication protocols (PCIe, NVMe, Ethernet).
  • Familiarity with memory technologies and their integration in compute systems.
  • Proven experience in technical leadership.
  • Familiarity with SSD testing methodologies and workflows.
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems and experience using Python or other scripting languages for automation of testing and analysis.
  • Understanding of standards (JEDEC, PCI‑SIG) and participation in specification‑setting processes.

Compensation

The U.S. base salary range for this full‑time position is $202,000.00 – $344,000.00 per year.
