Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own and develop electrical system requirements (hardware and software) in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Design, develop, and release electrical systems and embedded components through the production development process.
• Create and maintain bills of materials (BOMs) for vehicle electrical systems.
• Partner with suppliers on component feasibility, development, validation, and integration activities.
• Support prototype builds and production development activities throughout the product lifecycle.
• Coordinate with verification and validation teams to plan and execute testing of electrical components and vehicle systems.
• Analyze engineering data and develop solutions that improve manufacturing, quality, reliability, and performance.
• Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, engineering standards, and specifications.
• Identify and resolve issues related to electrical systems, controls, and component integration.

Job description

We're seeking an experienced Engineer Product II - Electronics Systems to support the design, development, integration, and validation of electrical systems and embedded components for advanced off-highway vehicle applications. This role offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and testing organizations throughout the full product development lifecycle.

Pay: $50 - $53/hr

Location: Onsite

Shift: 1st Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Travel: Occasional travel to sites in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Wisconsin

Key Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in vehicle electrical system design, harness integration, component development, or testing.
• Experience developing wiring harnesses and electrical systems using 3D CAD tools.
• Experience leading or coordinating design and testing work completed by remote team members.
• Strong understanding of electrical components, wiring harnesses, schematics, and hardware/software interactions.
• Hands-on experience using electrical test equipment such as multimeters, ammeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Knowledge of electrical and electronic controls, troubleshooting, and system diagnostics.
• Experience with J1939 CAN communication and CAN interface tools such as Vector CANcaseXL.
• Strong problem-solving skills, communication abilities, and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vehicle- or component-level electrical software validation.
• Knowledge of embedded systems development and testing.
• Experience working directly with suppliers on product development and integration activities.
• Exposure to agricultural, heavy equipment, automotive, or off-highway vehicle systems.
