Job summary

Infotree Global Solutions is seeking an electrical/electronics engineer to lead the development of electrical system requirements and embedded components for John Deere vehicles. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure successful implementation.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or related field and 3+ years of experience in vehicle electrical systems, along with strong CAD and testing skills. Travel to multiple sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical/related engineering is required.
• 3+ years in vehicle electrical system design or testing is needed.
• Experience with wiring harnesses and 3D CAD is expected.
• Ability to lead remote design/test work and collaborate cross-functionally.

Job description

1st shift - 8:00 AM-4:30 PM Metatarsal safety shoes are required on their first day.

Major Job Responsibilities

1. 1. Own and develop electrical system requirements (hardware and/or software) in collaboration with cross-functional teams
2. 2. Develop and release electrical system/embedded components in the John Deere production system
3. 3. Create and organize bills of material for electrical systems on John Deere vehicles
4. 4. Work with outside suppliers on component feasibility, development, and integration
5. 5. Provide build support at various stages throughout the product development cycle
6. 6. Work with test verification and validation group to plan, coordinate, and perform testing on electrical components and agricultural machines.

Experiences and Education

1. 1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer/Electronics/Agricultural Engineering.
2. 2. 3+ years of vehicle electrical system design, harness integration, component development, or testing experience
3. 3. Experience developing wiring harnesses and electrical systems using 3D CAD tools
4. 4. Experience leading design/test work performed by remotely located team members
5. 5. Experience with developing or testing electrical component, wiring harnesses, schematics, and a good understanding of software/hardware interaction
6. 6. Proficient in electrical test tools such as Multi-meter, Ammeter, and Oscilloscope.
7. 7. Good knowledge of electrical and electronic controls, components, and troubleshooting.
8. Experience in vehicle or component level electrical software validation is a plus.
9. 8. Knowledge of J1939 CAN and use of CAN interface tools such as Vector tool - CANcaseXL.
10. 9. Self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills, good character and work well in team environment.
