Engineer Lead

Location: Pulse Point, 5800 Northampton Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23502. Hybrid work model: 1–2 days per week onsite to foster collaboration, with the flexibility of virtual work to support productivity and work‑life balance.

Work hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Maintain active relationships with customers to determine business requirements.
• Lead requirements gathering meetings and review designs with the business.
• Work with the Web and marketing team to increase the presence of web products.
• Implement improvements in stability, performance, and scalability across major business‑critical systems.
• Implement processes to reduce barriers and roadblocks in projects, services, and processes to operate more efficiently.
• Own the change request process and coordinate with other teams as necessary.
• Develop and own the final enhancements list.
• Define application scope and objectives and supervise the preparation of technical and/or functional specifications from which programs will be written.
• Perform technical design reviews and code reviews.
• Ensure unit tests are completed and meet the test plan requirements; ensure system testing is completed and implemented according to plan.
• Deliver application technology solutions and data information planning effort.
• Coordinate and manage on‑call support and own the system monitoring process.
• Own the technical development environment and work on the Enterprise team.
• Lead multiple or large projects and facilitate large group JAD sessions for requirements and modeling in several disciplines.
• Lead vendor evaluation and analysis.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Seven (7) years of IT experience or related experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $149,971.50 (Norfolk, VA). In addition to salary, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401(k) contribution (subject to eligibility).
