Le Petit Pali at Ocean Ave is seeking an Engineer to keep the property running safely and smoothly, from patching walls to HVAC troubleshooting.

You will conduct inspections, perform repairs, and maintain records, with a flexible schedule based on occupancy and emergencies. A license in plumbing or electrical is preferred for advancement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in general repair and building maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge of AC systems and refrigeration.
• Positive, upbeat attitude with top‑notch organization and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing room and property inspections to identify repair needs.
• Perform general repairs — drywall, painting, basic electrical, plumbing, and furniture/fixture fixes.
• Install, replace, and program guest room televisions.
• Maintain and repair HVAC systems, heating/cooling pumps, and water lines, and troubleshoot kitchen equipment.
• Maintain accurate repair and preventative maintenance records, adhering to codes.
• Practice safe work habits, complying with MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Support the operations team during busy periods or staffing shortages.
• Work a flexible schedule based on hotel occupancy and emergency repair needs.

POSITION PROFILE

The Engineer is a hands-on problem solver who keeps Le Petit Pali at Ocean Ave running safely and smoothly - from patching walls to troubleshooting HVAC. You'll balance day-to-day fixes with proactive maintenance, keeping the property guest-ready and code-compliant.

THE TASK AT HAND

• Practice safe work habits, complying with MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Support the operations team, including House Person duties, during busy periods or staffing shortages.
• Work a flexible schedule based on hotel occupancy and emergency repair needs.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

• 2+ years of experience in general repair and building maintenance.
• Extensive knowledge of AC systems and refrigeration.
• Positive, upbeat attitude with top-notch organization and prioritization skills.

Preferred

• Professional skilled trade licensing in plumbing and electrical.

Physical

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs throughout a shift.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
