Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking an Engineering Maintenance Technician to handle maintenance requests via the Work Order Management System, and address routine and emergency work on HVAC, electrical, plumbing and medical systems.
This role follows the scheduled preventive maintenance program, prioritizes patient care and infection control, may require after-hours work in emergencies or bad weather, and uses the CMMS to track activities and assets across the facility.
Answers maintenance requests obtained via the Work Order Management System and/or communication with hospital staff. Handles routine and emergency maintenance calls for complex systems, and keeps routine watch over operating condition of HVAC, electric, plumbing and medical systems in the facility. Does routine maintenance according to scheduled preventive maintenance program. This position places patient care and infection control standards as a top priority, following and aligning all activities with these standards. The role may require working outside of regularly scheduled shifts, in inclement weather, or in emergency situations. All roles within the Engineering department are required to adopt and utilize the CMMS work order system to effectively communicate across the organization and manage activities and assets.
