Job summary

MAGMA is seeking an Iron Application Engineer to join our U.S. team and help advance the future of metalcasting.

You will use MAGMASOFT software daily to deliver insights and solutions for Iron customers, collaborating with engineers, sales, and educational services. The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of experience in cast iron, strong communication skills, and the flexibility to work across technical and educational initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in the cast iron world
• Self-starter with a passion for metalcasting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable switching between sales, engineering projects, technical support, and educational services
• Thrives both independently and in team settings

Responsibilities

• Use MAGMASOFT daily to deliver insights and solutions for Iron customers
• Cross trained in steel and investment casting areas
• Grow and support our customer base through technical expertise and sales activities
• Collaborate with Application Managers on new sales opportunities
• Create and present technical materials for internal meetings, customer presentations, training sessions, industry conferences, and reports
• Lead and support engineering projects and educational workshops
• Act as a technical spokesperson in marketing videos for social media
• Travel to customer sites domestically and internationally up to 25%

Salary Range $80,000 - $95,000

Your Role & Responsibilities:

• Use MAGMASOFT ® software daily to deliver insights and solutions to Iron customers.
• Cross trained in areas related to steel and investment casting
• Grow and support our customer base through technical expertise and sales activities.
• Collaborate with Application Managers on new sales opportunities.
• Create and confidentially present technical materials for internal meetings, customer presentations, training sessions, industry conferences, and reports. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable with public speaking and effectively presents technical information to a variety of audiences.
• Lead and support engineering projects and educational workshops.
• Act as a technical spokesperson in marketing videos for social media, clearly communicating engineering concepts and product knowledge to customers and industry professionals.
• Travel to customer sites domestically and internationally as needed. (Up to 25% travel)
